Cerasaurion

Clingy friends for life.

Art by Spider Dino (Sera Proto's Saurion)

Cerasaurion are Saurion that evolved from Triceratops. They’re easily identifiable because of the size of their horns as well as number most often having one nose horn and two horns on their head but because of adaptations to their reduced size Ceras no longer have helms and instead grow additional horn nubs on their cheeks. Cerasaurians are slow moving, patient, and friendly; they have a tendency to hang out in large groups and feel most at home amongst as many people as possible. So the loss of their helm is a benefit to their new lifestyle making it easier for them to get closer to people they like. Cera personalities range from moody, cold in public (warm in private), serious, and gremlins, they may have a personality that would suggest they’re independent but that’s very far from in reality. Because of this social dependency it’s common for Ceras to have multiple partners. The most common pairings are 3-5 Ceras who are all dating each other or are friends who all live together.

They’re fully capable of being alone for short periods of time but in public they’ll panic if alone. If they’re in a group in public you’ll see an interesting behavior, the Ceras will behave as if there is no one else around besides their herd. If multiple Cerasaurion are together you’ll see them staying close, playing, hanging out, and to them they may act like they’re the only ones on the planet. This can sometimes lead to incidents like clumsy behavior, like bumping into people, or getting loud and disturbing others. It’s very common to see 180s in their personalities when in large groups. Ceras are also often chubby and slow moving until they’re in a group, then you may see them being more active.

Ceras are also easily identifiable because they have some of the largest ears, slower moving Saurions use their large ears to control their body temperature since they might not be active enough to want to swim and too lazy to bother finding shade.
